Dr. Victor B. Williams Jr

Senior Pastor of Greater Ridley Temple COGIC

Elder Victor B. Williams, Jr. was born on October 27th, 1985 to Elder Victor B. Williams Sr. and Mrs. Patricia Williams (Maxwell) in the city of Newport News Va. Elder Williams is the only child from his parents union. As a young boy Elder VB Williams, Jr would often go to church with his grandmother (Mother) Betty Bullock of St. John’s COGIC. At the age of 13 Elder VB Williams, Jr. was saved at a Wednesday Night service. At the age of 15 Victor Williams, Jr. relocated with his family to Delray Beach. Victor Williams family attended and visited many churches in the Delray Beach area but One church they attended was the church his family was raised in Formally known as Ridley Temple Church of God in Christ. Often Pastor Thomas Moore used Bro. Williams to speak on Youth Sunday’s. After a year and a half of speaking and serving, by divine inspiration of the Holy Ghost, Pastor Moore saw that it was time for Bro. Williams to become a licensed Minister in the Church of God in Christ under the Leadership of Bishop (Emeritus) Jacob Cohen, Jurisdictional Prelate. Minister Williams continued to serve at Ridley Temple, working in the Sunday School Department, Youth and Men Department. At the age of 25 the Lord saw fit to elevate Minister Williams to an Ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ, after attending classes offered by the Florida Eastern Ecclesiastical Jurdication, the Men of Valor Empowered or(MOVE) classes under site facilitator Bishop Jimmie L. Williams. After becoming an elder, Elder Williams continued to serve by Pastor Moore as Assistant Pastor of Ridley Temple overseeing affairs and assisting his Leader.

On October 26, 2015 Pastor T.H Moore, after leading Ridley Temple COGIC for 26 years, retired from the office of Pastor. It was then, Elder V.B Williams Jr was appointed Interim- Pastor of Ridley Temple COGIC by Bishop Jimmie L. Williams, Jurisdictional Prelate of the Florida Eastern Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. Interim Pastor Williams began building up the church in the vision that God had given him by simply living and preaching the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. By divine inspiration according to John 14:12 (Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father) the ministry was renamed to GREATER RIDLEY TEMPLE COGIC AKA GRT.  In August 2016 Elder V.B Williams was officially appointed by Bishop Jimmie L Williams as permanent Pastor of Greater Ridley Temple.  In addition to his leadership role as pastor, on August 11th 2018, Pastor Williams was installed as District Superintendent of Charles Harrison Mason District and was inducted as Jurisdictional Ordination Board Member, September 2018. Pastor V.B Williams has a great vision to help God’s people in a time such as this. He is often called a “Young Man, with an Old Soul” teaching and preaching as the Saints of Old. His most popular saying is “If I hit you, I didn’t mean to miss you”
